Some forms will always keep your hands warm for 30 minutes, while other's will keep your hands warm for 12-24 hours.
Some types are self regulating and others aren't, so you need to be careful when you're buying them. It's very easy to feel you are buying a type that won't burn you, only to get it home to find out that it DOES burn you if it is too hot, or not used properly.
And not only are they excellent to keep your hands warm, but many of them have got adhesive strips on one side of them, so you can keep them in place when you use them on your lower back or in your shoes.
